Maiden captures a little of that beautiful distortion.

Its black, grey, and white stripes waver like reflections in heated air, transforming orderly vertical stripes into something more playful, surreal, and alive. There is movement in the pattern, but also humor: a slightly mischievous refusal to remain perfectly composed.
