Is our black and purple striped wallpaper strictly for Victorian rooms? No. But we think it's a fit! With a silk finish, this pattern reads slightly formal and adds restraint to rooms that favor moodiness. A deep black ground absorbs light while aubergine purple stripes emerge gradually. The dark vertical stripes keep walls steady and visually quiet in smaller or inward-facing spaces. How Many Rolls Do I Need? Here's your Answer

Each roll of our wallpaper is 27 in. wide and 33 ft. long - the traditional double-roll size used by professionals. That length divides into multiple floor-to-ceiling panels (often called drops), depending on your wall height.

Here’s the easy way to estimate for basic stripes with no drop repeat:

Measure the width of your wall (in inches) and divide by 27 to see how many panels you’ll need.
Measure your wall height (in inches), add 2-4 inches for wiggle room, and divide 396 (the roll length) by that number to see how many panels you’ll get from one roll.
Divide panels needed by panels per roll, round up, and always order an extra roll for safety.

On a typical 8 ft. wall, each roll yields 4 tight drops, covering 9 ft. of wall once installed. For 9 and 10 ft. walls, each roll yields 3 drops, covering 6.75 feet of wall. (Note: this refers only to stripes with no vertical repeat.)
